2005

Established 2005

Oxecrete was established to investigate advanced building systems capable of delivering improved thermal performance, reduced structural weight and enhanced durability for Australian construction.

2006

Research Expansion

Early research focused on lightweight wall systems and alternative construction methods suitable for residential housing, commercial developments and remote communities.

2007

Structural Wall Systems

Development accelerated toward advanced structural wall systems, combining lightweight construction with improved strength, durability and thermal efficiency.

2008

Prototype Development

Prototype wall systems were manufactured and evaluated under practical construction conditions.

2009

International Patent Filed

A significant milestone was achieved through the international patent application titled "Wall and Method of Forming a Wall" (WO2009/039557).

2010

Remote & Indigenous Housing

Recognising the challenges associated with housing in regional Australia, Oxecrete® investigated construction technologies capable of improving thermal performance while simplifying installation.

2011

Marine Infrastructure

Research expanded into marine infrastructure, including coastal protection systems, seawall technologies and alternative concrete solutions capable of long-term performance in harsh environments.

2012

Geopolymer Technologies

Research into geopolymer materials introduced alternative cementitious technologies capable of reducing environmental impact while improving durability and structural performance.

2013

Inspired by Nature

The philosophy of Learning From Nature became central to Oxecrete®'s research direction. Natural systems provided inspiration for stronger, longer-lasting and more sustainable building materials capable of meeting future construction challenges.

2014–2019

Environmental Technologies

Research progressively expanded beyond construction materials into broader environmental technologies including carbon capture, microalgae systems and alternative biomaterial research.challenges.

2020

Looking Forward

The knowledge gained through advanced wall systems, geopolymer research, marine infrastructure and environmental technologies provides the foundation for future research into sustainable construction and environmental solutions.
